Our aim is to defend this beautiful natural environment by championing and supporting the artisans, designers, craftspeople and producers who work side by side in harmony with nature.  Scottish made in small batches from only natural fibres, our clothing and textiles are designed to bring comfort and warmth whatever the weather.   

I began travelling around Mull, Iona and the Inner Hebrides later in life with my young family and was deeply inspired by beauty of the landscape, the abundance of nature and the simpler more sustainable way of life. 

My passion for the hand-made and hand-crafted had begun many years before, inspired by my rural upbringing and then later in the 1990's, whilst studying an Industrial Design MA at Central Saint Martins, London.  My Industrial Design education began at a time when Green Design was just coming to the fore,  Now, three decades on, sustainability has become the new buzzword.  Specific definitions of sustainability are difficult; however, my aim through Hebridean Journey is to offer the highest quality clothing and textiles, that are made to last, by makers and creators who work in harmony with nature.
